Ace in the Hand are a 3 piece band from Sheffield built around the virtuoso guitar playing of Alex Oliver. We are all very experienced musicians who got together a few years ago to perform and entertain while also enjoying ourselves.
Unlike other gigging bands whose sets appear to be random selections of songs we like to market ourselves utilising different concepts around which we have developed ‘shows’ that are easy for venues and their customers to grasp and know what to expect from us.

We have invested in pro-quality instruments and gear, have a 1300w x 2 PA system and use an in-ear monitoring system on stage. Although powerful we use our equipment to produce a clear and quality sound rather than a deafening cacophony. We have our own sound engineer and stage lighting. We are happy to accept direct booking or if any venue uses an agency to provide bands to them we would be happy to worth through them....ask them to contact us.
